Tandem and/or AFF Instructors for 2004 season (May-September)
Skydive Snohomish Inc. in Snohomish, Washington is seeking a professional AFF and Tandem Instructor from June 2004 through September 2004. We are the closest DZ to the Seattle metro area and are marketing for the busiest summer we have had!
Minimum Job Requirements:
Current USPA Tandem and AFF ratings
Current FAA 3rd class Medical
Valid employment authorization
Has a strong work ethic and operates in a fun yet professional manner.
Work Expectations:
Available for 3-4 tandem classes/day
5 days/wk (rare, but possible 15 jumps/day 12hr days)
Available for AFF jumps 5 days/wk.
What to expect:
Strong systems 2001 or newer, most have Icarus Mains 2003 or newer. We fly a Cessna Grand Caravan, 206, and 182's. Safety, service, and quality instruction are our top priorities. Average number of Tandem jumps to expect June-September: 300-400. AFF is planned to begin in May for the first time at this DZ and therefore difficult to determine what can be expected. We will be using USPA's ISP and have experienced positive feedback upon announcing course availability.

Tandem:
0 to 249 - $30/jump
250 to 499 - $35/jump
500 or more - $40/jump.
Packing is not an expectation

AFF:
First jump class - $25/Student
Main side - $45/jump
Reserve side - $30/jump
(Main and reserve wages may change slightly w/ level of responsibilities)

All required employment taxes and insurance will apply.
Extra qualifications such as rigging licenses, video capability, and SL Instructor ratings are helpful and may be considered in determining pay rates.
**Experience should be verifiable by logbook entries and credible references.

Housing:
Furnished appt. w/1 roommate: $250/month $500 damage deposit required/person.
RV parking also available.
First come first serve basis.

Work Description:
Manages an organized flow and coordinates aircraft loads for licensed and student skydivers. Assists first time and continuing skydivers schedule their jumps. Accepts and is responsible for monies received. Maintains cleanliness and appearance of all facilities. This sporadic, fast paced, energy filled work environment is probably not suitable for all people.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants must be quick learners, self-disciplined and have good computer skills. The applicant should also be observant, punctual and have a confident personality. Lastly, all applicants should feel reasonably sure they meet these qualifications and find satisfaction from a position that challenges them.
