What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
My 30th Birthday! It also helped that I began working in Manifest at the dropzone. Everyone’s stories and smiles really made me want to take the plunge. I wanted to wait to jump for my 30th birthday because I wanted to start off my new decade with a bang and this was it. I’ve had a perma-grin every day since and couldn’t have dreamed up a better way to start my new adventure.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
I haven’t exactly continued YET, but I am already planning out when I’ll be jumping next. I want to try and jump in each season, so that I can experience the beauty of Washington in all of it’s glory, all year round.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
My first jump will probably always hold a very special place in my heart. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I’ve never done something so scary and yet so brave at the same time. I am now a believer that I can do absolutely anything because of the fact that I went skydiving. It’s an experience that’s nearly indescribable, but what I can explain is that it changed me as a person in the best way possible!
If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
I would absolutely LOVE to jump with my two nieces one day. They are quite a bit under our age requirement at the moment, but the second they both turn 18… I can only hope that their auntie will have paved a way to them wanting to jump too. That would be such a great bonding experience with them and I would love for them to experience the same feelings that I felt from my first jump. I want to be a part of making these girls even more brave, strong, fearless, and limitless!
