FIRST JUMP - 2026
What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
The anticipation is always the scariest part, like waiting in line for a crazy water slide or a roller coaster. Once you actually jump out of the plane, its the absolute best time!
Get To Know Gabbie Bisher
When you were a kid, were there any early activites that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
When I was a kid I always dreamed of flying and would always pretend to jump off the couch as high as I could and flap my arms like a bird and make believe I would fly into the sky. I was always watching the airplanes in the sky, and loved seeing the skydivers and their parachutes when driving through Snohomish, it was always magical! Needless to say, my first skydive was like fulfilling a childhood dream.
what was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
As much as I loved the idea of flying and being in planes, heights have terrified me all my life! I never even considered the thought of skydiving until I started working at Skydive Snohomish and my wonderful co-workers convinced me to do it. Needless to say it was one of the best experiences of my life and I’d do it over and over again if I could.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
The whole experience, how awesome the instructors were, and truthfully the freefall. When you’re in that freefall it really does feel like you’re flying, and seeing all of the views that Washington has to offer to was another added plus!
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
For sure my first one, the sun was setting and it was so clear out you could see all the mountains and the San Juan islands. It was an absolutely incredible first experience.
if you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
Definitely my mom, she’s even more scared of heights then I am but I really want her to be able to jump with me!
