When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
Nope. I grew up in a small farming town in Virginia and never thought I would ever jump out of a plane.
What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
I was introduced to skydiving through the military. Once I went to military freefall school I was hooked. I had a parachute a week after I graduated the freefall school and the rest is history.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
The freedom you feel when you’re in the air.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
Probably a flag demonstration jump I did into a memorial day party on the Saint Marie River in Idaho. I almost landed in the river haha.
As an instructor, what has been one of the most meaningful jumps you’ve made with a student?
My girlfriend’s first student jump. She did the whole AFF course in five days!
If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
My son and daughter. No explanation needed haha
