When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
When I was a kid I used to play baseball in Snohomish, and I would always see the skydivers in the summer and I thought it was the coolest thing.
What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
It was my 18th birthday, and it was actually in the middle of my work shift. I had gotten hired a month prior in July so I waited a month to be able to take my first jump.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
Skydiving is the absolute epitome of freedom. Once you get up in the air and jump out of the plane, it puts everything else in life into a different perspective. It allows you to truly appreciate the great gift of life.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
I would say either my A-license check five or my 3rd Tandem with Vlad. The jump I did with Vlad was 100 percent the jump that made me realize that I loved skydiving and wanted to pursue it.
If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
Probably my Dad. He’s terrified of heights so I think it would be hilarious to watch. I also just want everyone to make at least 1 skydive in their life so they can also get that insane feeling that only jumping out of a plane provides.
