When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
I loved to jump off a platform on the inside of our boat during severe storms so that I could feel that moment of being weightless.
What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
My boyfriend scheduled a jump and I wouldn’t allow him to go unless I got to go too. We learned through the static line progression.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
My boyfriend was hooked after the first jump and my competitive side kicked in and I kept jumping because he was. I got hooked after the first time I pulled my own ripcord.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
Launching a 4-way from a Cessna 182. The 4-way completely flipped over and ended up belly to earth again without anyone losing grips.
As an instructor, what has been one of the most meaningful jumps you’ve made with a student?
When working with students in the past, I always loved the look of pure joy when they finally nailed a skill they had struggled with.
